摘要: After diagnosing amyloid by the Congo red procedure (see Chap. 13), identifying chemical nature of amyloidotic protein causing disease is mandatory for therapeutic considerations. Here illustrated how immunohistochemical typing can be achieved on formalin-fixed tissue sections using a panel antibodies which were produced this purpose. These and histological expert evaluation are key successful while various pitfalls being avoided. The single strong, consistent, therefore diagnostic reaction has to distinguished from other weaker, inconsistent, unspecific reactions since deposits contain substances. prevalence types among 626 samples submitted presented.
