摘要: Abstract A standardized questionnaire, with satisfactory retake item reliabilities and well established validities, was administered to a representative sample of female university students (N = 2366), drawn from Cairo Ein-Shams Universities, both located in Greater Cairo. Results, relevant demographic drug related items, are presented. Where meaningful, comparisons made previously published corresponding data obtained on male students. Among the interesting findings following: (a) Female students, compared males, had better educated parents jobs higher social prestige hierarchy. (b) But more boys than girls personal sources income and, relatively, big amounts pocket money. (c) Very few smoked cigarettes used natural narcotics. (d) Tranquilizers hypnotics were taken by, almost, equal percentages sexes. stimulants consumed by boys. (e) Girls did not start experimentation narcotics before age 16, whereas began such reaching 12 years age. (f) tried alcohol much they experimented any other psychoactive substance. (g) as we found measurable trend for users be exposed nonusers what call ‘drug culture’. (h) In case girls, close relatives have weight friends information about drugs. For boys, it is opposite. Similarities disparities discussed implications emphasized.
