摘要: Context: Langerhans cells (LCs) are a unique population of antigen processing in the epidermis and mucous membrane, which may play role defence mechanism against epithelial tumors. Aims: To compare distribution LCs oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) normal epithelium; to determine whether OSCC has any correlation with histological grading these malignancies. Settings Design: A cross-sectional immunohistochemical analysis cases. Materials Methods: Forty-eight randomly selected paraffin tissue blocks cases 30 epithelium were included. Hematoxylin eosin-stained sections reviewed categorized as high-grade malignant tumors or low-grade Tissue analyzed for density using CD1a antibody expression. Statistical Analysis Used: Data expressed percentages compared by Chi-square statistics; mean ± standard deviation, Mann-Whitney-U test Spearman's tests. Results: was significantly higher when (P = 0.001). There also significant difference number per millimetre square area section between well-differentiated poorly-differentiated tumours 0.03). negative grade OSCC. Conclusions: These findings suggest that mucosal involved immune-surveillance immunologic impairment characterize invasive In addition, characterizes grades OSCC, be prognostic value.
