Correlation of clinical, histological, and cytokeratin profiles of squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue with prognosis.

摘要: The aim of the present study was to clinically, morphologically, and immunohistochemically correlate expression cytokeratins (CKs) 7, 10, 13, 14, 16, 19 in 30 cases tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) with disease outcome, metastases, clinical stage (tumor, node, metastasis [TNM]), histological grade malignancy proposed by Bryne. Statistical analysis (χ2 test) showed that only grading not significantly correlated variables. CK varied samples analyzed. 10 presence 16 related outcome also TNM stages III IV. These results indicate metastases are effective prognostic indicators. Bryne did reflect biological behavior SCC studied. Analysis some intermediate filaments can aggressiveness SCCs.
