摘要: Rats were treated with a single intratracheal instillation of 6.5 units elastase or normal saline. Seven weeks after treatment, the animals exposed for 24 hr to filtered air 1 ppm O3, and their lung functions measured. The exposure O3 resulted in functional changes depending mainly on peripheral airway obstruction, direction degree those general similar between saline- elastase-treated animals. Another group rats 3 edematous response lungs was again similar. These results indicate that responded fashion rats, but damage caused by superimposed over preexisting emphysematous damage, an additional lessening margin pulmonary reserve capacity.
