摘要: Abstract The effects of fusarenon-X (12,13-epoxytrichothecene; FX) on mouse thymus and T-cell subpopulations were studied. In mice that received three intraperitoneal injections FX, the showed severe atrophy, thymic cortex almost completely disappeared, total number thymocytes decreased to 2.2% normal mice. CD4+CD8+ depleted by this treatment while CD4+CD8−, CD4−CD8+ CD4−CD8− not reduced such an extent, suggesting selective damage in was induced FX. spleen, CD4+ or CD8+ lymphocytes non-T cells remained unchanged. Next, mode investigated a single injection with lymphocyte nuclei fragmented positive for TUNEL (TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling) staining 20 h after FX injection. By electron microscopy, apoptotic condensed stroma ingesting many nuclear fragments frequently observed cortex. Internucleosomal DNA fragmentation apparent treated both vivo vitro. Thus, we demonstrated trichothecene mycotoxin is new cause apoptosis besides other factors similar effects.
