摘要: Egyptian basalt rock was used to prepare some glasses with different additives of Na2O by the melt quenching method. The prepared were characterized applying FTIR, XRD and Mossbauer Effect (ME) spectroscopy. indicated that all samples showed a homogeneous glassy phase except sample containing 35 mol % which very small crystalline less than 5 %. FTIR measurements presence various structural units including SiO4, FeO4 AlO4. ME hyperfine parameters both Fe2+and Fe3+in low content (the first three samples), while iron in high last samples) only Fe3+ state. All glass heated at 900°C for 6 h, analysis crystallites nanometer size. spectra heat-treated (HT) magnesium ferrites as confirmed study.
