Gold-197 Mössbauer Spectroscopy in the Characterization of Gold Compounds

摘要: It was demonstrated about ten years ago that 197Au Mossbauer spectroscopy would be useful in the characterization of gold compounds. Mossbauer,1 Shirley,2 and Nicholls; showed that, although neither isomer shift (IS) nor quadrupole splitting (QS) alone allow gold(I) gold(III) to distinguished, when two parameters are taken together diagnosis oxidation state is simple. At time there little interest chemistry gold, but recently has been a revival activity, with discovery compounds gold(II) gold(V), cluster compounds, ability expand its coordination number from three or four.
