摘要: Electricity security, generally referring to a system’s capability provide electricity its users, is multi-faceted problem attracting mounting attention from policy makers and scientists around the world. security encompasses largely different properties based upon time/geographical scales of factors affecting delivery; it challenged by threats surfacing in spheres far beyond physical one; involves myriad stakeholders spanning manifold disciplines with considerably expectations commodity or services; can be studied as complicated techno-economic complex socio-economic problem. All above reasons, framework changing European Union (EU) global energy scenarios, render ever more challenging assess critical safeguard. Against this background, work presents recommendations bring science making closer towards evaluating handling EU security. More detail, done by: Characterising via features at cross-roads science. Reviewing modelling assessment approaches across sectors. Proposing elements for novel decision-analytic EU. Contextualising proposed EU’s Energy grid design initiatives.
