摘要: The effective linear and third-order nonlinear optical properties of metallic colloidal crystal immersed in a graded-index host fluid are investigated theoretically. local electric fields extracted self-consistently based on the layer-to-layer interactions, which readily given by Lekner summation method. resultant absorption nonlinearity enhancement show series sharp peaks, merge broadened resonant band. peaks become continuous band for increasing packing density number layers. We believe that arise from in-plane dipolar interactions surface plasmon resonance, whereas is due to presence gradient refractive index. These results have not been observed homogeneous randomly dispersed colloids, thus would be great interest nanomaterial engineering.
