摘要: Characteristics of morbidity obese adults in the general population and morbidly presenting for obesity surgery were compared. Black women less than black patients, showed emotional distress, had fewer abnormal eating behaviours; age socio-economic status similar. A greater proportion patients white would be expected either on basis prevalence morbid or census data. It was hypothesized that men avoid until they are physically debilitated by their overweight, while elect when distress associated with becomes debilitating.
