摘要: A method for electric field measurements based on the Kerr electro-optic effect is investigated, along with its applicability in high-voltage engineering. Experimental data distribution liquid dielectrics during very fast transient voltage (VFT) occurrences are obtained from direct which utilize effect. These then compared to results provided by numerical models of measurements. Details and basic principles laser tomography presented, a description modified arithmetic reconstruction algorithm used. setup measurement conditions validated calculations finite difference method. presented both symmetrical asymmetrical electrode arrangements. Electric distribution, same as experiments, specialized software tools developed modelling high frequency electromagnetic phenomena. Results show good agreement experimental data, thereby affirming accuracy described
