Kallikrein-kinin and renin-angiotensin systems in rat renal lymph. Rat lymph contains 254 ± 17 ng/ml (x ±SEM, N=20) of immunoreactive glandular kallikrein. Like the kallikrein plasma, it is biologically inactive. Gel filtration reveals profiles for kallikrein, protein, inhibition trypsin which resemble those seen plasma except that high molecular weight components are reduced or missing In contrast, gel thoracic protein indistinguishable from with plasma. Renin levels 170-fold higher than while angiotensin-converting enzyme only 16% keeping renin low converting activities, angiotensin I. Immunoreactive lymph, do not show striking differences observed renin.
