摘要: Abstract Aim: To report diagnostic, clinical and therapeutic aspects of cyanide intoxication resulting from ingestion cyanogenic glucoside-containing apricot seeds. Methods: Thirteen patients admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Erciyes University between 2005 2009 with associated seeds were reviewed retrospectively. Results: Of 13 patients, four male. The mean time onset symptoms was 60 minutes (range 20 3 hours). On admission, all underwent gastric lavage received activated charcoal. In addition signs mild poisoning related intoxication, there severe requiring mechanical ventilation (in cases), hypotension two), coma two) convulsions one).
