摘要: Abstract The addition of glucagon to hepatocytes in primary culture produced a rapid and sustained increase the Km ( 1.27 m M phosphoenol pyruvate) pyruvate kinase. low 0.4 ) form enzyme was seen when cells were retreated with insulin, demonstrating short-term regulation mechanism. Injections or followed by insulin demonstrated that similar mechanism occurs vivo . Results from longer times after injection indicated another altered activity result changes Vmax not Km. Thus, dual for kinase occurs. A responding system functions modification enzyme, while long-term altering rate synthesis, thus changing amount present.
