摘要: Abstract A hole-burning experiment has been performed on the phenol-(H 2 O) complex formed in a supersonic expansion. The lowest energy S 1 state absorption of this consists 25 cm −1 wide band with unresolved structure. This structure is shown to be due vibronic transitions single isomer, all originating from same ground level. fit series Gaussian peaks revealing existence vibrational frequencies which are surprisingly low for hydrogen-bonded complex.
