摘要: Six young healthy male subjects were studied to evaluate the use of whole body surface cooling (WBSC) as an antiorthostatic intervention. Previous studies in our laboratory have demonstrated perfusion Apollo garment with 16 degrees C water produced a significant increase stroke volume and decrease heart rate at rest during lower negative pressure (LBNP). However, optimal temperatures not been determined. The present study examined effects WBSC using temperature 10 C. This greater mean skin (Tsk) than C, -4 drop compared -2 respectively. hemodynamic also more prominent shown by 11% 35% LBNP -50 torr control measurements ambient temperature. Heart rates lowered significantly (8 beats/min) systolic arterial blood was higher torr). Cooling slight muscle tone, reflected small but (+84 ml/min) oxygen uptake. These data suggest that is effective nonpharmacologic means controlling preload deserves further investigation
