摘要: Consumption in a particular country often entails resource extraction, production, and environmental degradation remote locations. This fact has stimulated growing body of empirical analysis using input-output (I-O) databases techniques to reveal quantify the underlying linkages. Two lines research rooted I-O economics, multiregional (MRIO) modeling world economy, describe analyze these relationships, first for past, increasingly form footprints pathways, latter under alternative scenarios about possible courses action future. The article shows how organizing such scenario outcomes into an MRIO database can extend reach future while simultaneously supplementing capabilities trade framework. We compilation from results model (WTM) companion (Part II, Implementation); subsequent application this permits evaluation prospects also address several overlooked challenges, namely, need include factor endowments distances between potential partners database, representation sectors providing transport internationally traded goods, manipulation mixed physical money units when both quantities prices are endogenous.
