摘要: The standard tuberculin test used by all Singapore government hospitals and institutions is the intradermal Mantoux using 1 TU of PPD RT23 with Tween 80, read 72 hours later. There almost 100% BCG coverage in children for many years, therefore skin reaction must be interpreted special consideration. Taking 8 mm above as positive, six month old infants vaccinated at birth gave a positive rate 42% mean size 5.89 mm. appeared to wane rapidly among 6 year school dropped 12% 2.38 By age 11 showed 36% 6.27 A further increase observed 15 children, being 88% 13.28 Among tuberculosis contacts, are generally higher, especially younger groups.
