摘要: Antiserum was raised against the purified heat-stable enterotoxin (ST) produced by enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli strain 431, a class II porcine enteropathogen. The antiserum used to examine antigenic determinants of STs strains different host origins and develop sensitive radioimmunoassay specific for ST having biological activity in suckling mice piglets (STA). neutralized one effective dose toxin at dilution 1:5,000 approximately 40 microgram per ml serum. In radioimmunoassay, protein A-bearing staphylococci as primary solid-phase adsorbent. I enteropathogen (strain 667) bovine (B-41) exhibited patterns competitive inhibition identical those homologous unlabeled 431 when antibody used. levels culture supernatants determined mouse assay correlated with concentrations measured radioimmunoassay. STA E. porcine, bovine, human did not react heat-labile or that had but (STB). These results suggest molecules share least determinant.
