摘要: Transfusion with many crosslinked hemoglobin solutions causes an increase in arterial pressure that may be mediated by scavenging of nitric oxide (NO). If so, we postulated inhibiting synthesis NO after transfusion would fail to cause vasoconstriction ordinarily seen such inhibition. In pentobarbital anesthetized cats, tested whether administration the synthase inhibitor, NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), produced peripheral isovolemic exchange same extent as occurs L-NAME infusion time controls and matched for reduced hematocrit (17%) albumin transfusion. Bovine was treated aerobically bis-(3,5-dibromosalicyl)fumarate produce beta beta-81 lysine crosslinks. Hemoglobin increased mean blood there no further L-NAME. contrast, controls. decreased intestinal renal flow, decrease flow With pretreatment a separate group little or visceral We conclude is best explained vascular beds.
