摘要: Due to climate change and intense anthropogenic activity, organisms from cold regions are often exposed combined effects of temperature fluctuations contaminants. In this investigation, we assessed the lipid, protein, carbohydrate energy budgets; available (Ea); consumed (Ec); cellular allocation (CEA) freeze-tolerant Enchytraeus albidus, when sublethal concentrations 4-nonylphenol (a lipophilic contaminant) for 7 days, followed by exposure different regimes (continuous 2 °C, continuous -4 daily freeze-thaw cycles (FTC) (2 °C) additional 10 days. Results showed that a pre-exposure (4-NP) induced important changes in worms' budgets CEA increased mortality with most severe observed FTC events. For FTC, lipids were accumulated source, whereas during freezing (-4 °C), proteins used. caused highest Ec, indicating higher requirements shifting between thawing This is also line compared °C or °C. Worms presented relatively stable positive levels Ea low possibly related decrease metabolism.
