摘要: Systemic capillary leak syndrome (SCLS), also known as Clarkson syndrome, is a rare disease with potential fatal outcome. The clinical picture involves leakage of fluid and protein from the bloodstream into peripheral tissues, resulting in hypoalbuminaemia, elevated haematocrit, oedema hypotension. spectrum symptoms ranges discrete swelling/oedema extremities to fulminant cardiogenic shock. We present case 52-year-old man diagnosed SCLS after being resuscitated cardiac arrest, which was complicated by compartment syndrome. severe episode potentially triggered influenza virus infection. With benefit hindsight, he presented 2 years prior major acute episode. Here we describe this review some aspects literature on SCLS, particular focus pathogenesis, treatment/prophylaxis long-term physical psychological complications.
