摘要: Recently, we have used polarimetry as a method for assessing the linear retardance of infarcted myocardium. While reflects tissue anisotropy, experimental geometry has confounding effect due to dependence on orientation sample with respect probing beam. Here, imaging an 8mm diameter birefringent polystyrene sphere known anisotropy axis was test dual-projection by which and its true magnitude can be reconstructed, thus eliminating orientation. Feasibility is demonstrated in ex-vivo imaging.
