摘要: There is growing evidence that N-linked glycans play pivotal roles in protein folding and intra- and/or intercellular trafficking of N-glycosylated proteins. It has been shown during the N-glycosylation proteins, significant amounts free oligosaccharides (free OSs) are generated lumen endoplasmic reticulum (ER) by a mechanism which remains to be clarified. Free OSs also formed cytosol enzymatic deglycosylation misfolded glycoproteins, subjected destruction cellular system called "ER-associated degradation (ERAD)." While precise functions remain obscure, biochemical studies have revealed novel process enables them catabolized specialized manner, involves pumping ER into where further processing occurs. This followed entry lysosomes. In this review we summarize current knowledge about formation, eukaryotes discuss potential biological significance pathway. Other for occurrence various processes presented.
