摘要: Study Design Randomized controlled trial using a repeated-measures design. Objectives To examine the effects of commonly used recovery interventions on time performance, immune changes, and psychological outcomes. Background The use cryotherapy is popular among athletes, but few studies have simultaneously examined physiological responses to different strategies. Methods Nine active men performed 3 trials, consisting three 50-kJ “all out” cycling bouts, with 20 minutes after each bout. In randomized order, were applied ride for given visit: rest, (cycling at 50 W), or (cold tub water 10°C). Blood samples obtained during session analyzed lactate, IL-6, total leukocyte, neutrophil, lymphocyte cell counts. Self-assessments pain, perceived exertion, lower extremity sensations also completed. Results Time performance averaged 118 ± 10 seconds...
