摘要: Soft carbonyl iron (CI) particles were successfully modified with a thin layer of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) to enhance the wettability their surface in hydrophobic media. The contact angle investigations and tensiometric analysis revealed helped quantify significantly enhanced and, thus, better interfacial adhesion TEOS–coated CI (CI–TEOS) non–polar siloxane–based materials. Therefore, stable magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) based on CI–TEOS polydimethyl siloxane matrix fabricated. prepared composites had different particle loadings microstructural characteristics: isotropic anisotropic. These structural differences confirmed by scanning electron microscopy found considerably affect dielectric properties MREs due various charge transport mechanisms within clusters. Furthermore, (MR) performances MRE variants analysed before after exposure acidic environment. After corrosion test, bare exhibited dramatically decreased relative MR effect mechanical when compared its analogue containing CI–TEOS.
