摘要: A novel concept based on advanced particle-grafting technology to tailor performance, damping, and surface properties of the magnetorheological elastomers (MREs) is introduced. In this work, carbonyl iron (CI) particles grafted with poly(trimethylsilyloxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMATMS) two different molecular weights were prepared via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization relations between PHEMATMS chain lengths MREs investigated. The results show that performance damping capability remarkably influenced by interaction polydimethylsiloxane chains as a matrix grafts due their length. MRE containing CI higher weight exhibited greater plasticizing effect hence both relative enhanced observed. Besides bulk properties, modifications also field-induced activity sheets, which manifested notable changes in roughness.
