摘要: Selenium is considered an essential trace element in most animal and plant species, although still reported many texts as a highly toxic material. Epidemiological investigations have inverse relationship between selenium lung cancer. Explanations of observations resulted numerous mechanistic theories. Only recently metabolites involved excretion been potential agents for antilung cancer activity. Anticancer properties shown occupationally exposed copper smelter workers, dietary experimental studies. Supplementation with public water supplies, currently done fluoride, method increasing the blood concentration. This may permit development population prevention strategy against other diseases.
