摘要: A process is provided for producing staple fibers that may be used in the formation of carpets from poly(trimethylene terephthalate). Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) melt spun to form filaments. The filaments then cooled with a liquid having temperature at most 20° C. drawn, and drawn cut into fibers. resulting have highly uniform physical characteristics such as denier, tenacity, elongation break render particularly useful forming carpets.
