摘要: Abstract X-ray diffraction, electron microscopic and physico-mechanical studies have been made on the poly(ethylene oxide)—resorcinol system where a molecular complex exists. These provide support for suggested mechanism describing formation of 2:1 (monomer:resorcinol) complex, in which resorcinol molecules form hydrogen bonds to polymer chain. This is accompanied by close packing two types without any substantial change chain conformation.
