Priorities and changing practices: Vocational rehabilitation and community colleges improving workforce development programs for people with disabilities

摘要: Short-term training programs are viable employment options for individuals with disabilities seeking family- wage jobs. The purpose of this article is to describe (a) a community college short-term program that was adapted in partnership vocational rehabilitation meet the needs consumers attending these programs, and (b) continuous improvement process, which includes self-assessment tool action planning used adapt address consumers. After identifying set features indicators successful self-assessment/continuous process implemented. This collaborative provided mechanism stakeholders make necessary adjustments support students also served by system. action-planning were demonstrated be efficient, flexible across regions, important ingredients assisting from variety agencies work together improve outcomes disabilities.
