摘要: The majority of the malignant brain tumors are gliomas with glioblastoma being most common and aggressive type. Due to its extreme infiltrative nature higher occurrence frequency, finding new therapeutics diagnostics is a high priority. In line this, we previously synthesized glioblastoma-targeting theranostic that images delivers therapeutic payload doxorubicin (DXR) human xenograft tumors. Herein, dual-targeted on hypothesis targeting multiple receptors would enhance delivery precision. Doxorubicin endo-fullerene (Gd3N@C80) were encapsulated within liposomes conjugated transferrin (Tf) lactoferrin (Lf). hydrodynamic size, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, tagging proteins Gd3N@C80- DXR-loaded characterized using dynamic light scattering (DLS), inductively coupled plasma (ICP) mass spectrometer, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry analysis. As verification efficacy, Tf Lf dual-tagged able significantly induce cell death compared monotagged theranostics.
