摘要: Purpose: Evaluate the predictive and prognostic value of semi-quantitative FDG-PET variables derived from pretreatment images in patients suffering locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma head neck (SCCHN), treated by means concomitant radiochemotherapy. Patients, methods: 40 with newly diagnosed SCCHN that were radiochemotherapy underwent FDG-PET/CT for treatment planning; 18 had dissection prior to their baseline scan receiving used calculate metabolic tumour volumes using region growing a threshold 50% (MTV50) primary lesions involved lymph nodes as well mean maximum standard uptake (SUVmean SUVmax) tumours. Results: Neither SUVmean nor SUVmax values significantly different between responders non-responders whereas MTV50 proved higher non-responders. SUVmean, not overall or disease free survival. Contrariwise, dichotomized summed (cut-off≥31 cm3) didn’t have survival both univariate multivariate analysis (p≤0.05). Conclusion: Summed provided independent information on
