摘要: The eye is in continuous contact with infectious microorganisms inhabiting its environment. Furthermore, the external ocular surface also prone to infection after reactivation of viruses residing nerves that innervate cornea and conjunctiva. To cope this heavy load, endowed powerful defense mechanisms. In view different requirements visual system among species vast differences microenvironment which animals exposed, it not surprising composition proteins involved markedly for various species. These are reflected mainly mechanisms present on surface. Most have a specific immune mechanism characterized by presence secretory IgA tear film. Secretory immunoglobulin A (s-IgA) predominant antibody tears1 as well other secretions. secretions dimeric form containing polypeptides J (joining) chain glycoprotein called component, has molecular weight 385 kDa. s-IgA molecule product two cell types: produced plasma cells, component epithelial cells. External been thought contain about equal amounts IgAl IgA2 subtypes.2
