摘要: Lampreys are a group of aquatic chordates whose relationships to hagfishes and jawed vertebrates still debated. Lamprey embryology is interest evolutionary biologists because it may shed light on vertebrate origins. For this other reasons, lamprey has been extensively researched by from range disciplines. However, many the key studies comparative relatively inaccessible modern scientist. Therefore, in view current resurgence evolution development, we present here review developmental anatomy. We identify several features early organogenesis, including origin nephric duct, that need be re-examined with techniques. The homologies structures also unclear, intriguing subendothelial pads heart. hope will form basis for future into phylogenetic interesting animals.
