摘要: The development of the pineal complex and habenula sea lamprey was studied with proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) immunocytochemistry. organ primordia appeared in late embryos, neuron differentiation began prolarvae, as indicated by presence PCNA-negative cells. parapineal primordium could not be distinguished until early prolarval stages, delayed to larval period. Although number cycling (PCNA-immunoreactive) cells gradually decreased during period three organs studied, their patterns were different. We conclude that unusual developmental pattern observed is related life cycle lampreys.
