To scale the measures into a single categorical measure, we use an analytical approach that combines statistical latent class modelling with pragmatic choices for final classification responses. We also undertake informal examination solution in individual countries. Finding ESS frequency and impact to be reasonable cross-national experience negative emotions people’s lives, close estimation levels 23 The results display fairly consistent geographical gradient, lowest crime mostly Nordic countries Western Europe, highest Eastern Europe Mediterranean
