摘要: State‐selected differential cross sections have been obtained by directly imaging the products of collisions in crossed molecular beams. The new technique allows final state resolution and simultaneous detection all scattering angles. method has used to study inelastic between Ar NO(2Π1/2, υ=0, J=0.5) at a collision energy 0.21 eV. Rotational rainbows product angular distribution are observed change position as function rotational state; peak moves toward backward hemisphere broadens with an increase quantum number. relies on multiphoton ionization but is otherwise generally applicable reactive well collisions.
