摘要: Abstract Insulin resistance is probably the defining feature of metabolic syndrome and an important determinant plasma triglyceride (TG) concentrations. We sought to investigate whether insulin influenced metabolism VLDL 1 (Sf 60–400) 2 20–60). Sixteen (eight men, eight women) middle-aged, normoglycaemic subjects participated. apolipoprotein (apo) B was followed using a deuterated leucine tracer estimated homeostasis model assessment (HOMA). HOMA-estimated (HOMA IR ) significantly strongly correlated with production rate ( r = 0.69, P apo pool size 0.59, 0.02), but these relationships were not evident for . Conversely, HOMA related fractional transfer from IDL 0.61, 0.01). direct catabolism either or These results suggest role in determination hepatic highlight independent regulation metabolism.
