摘要: Introduction: Root canal sealers used in odontological applications are capable of providing an apical seal, thus inhibiting potential bacterial penetration into the periradicular tissues. Since insolubility is ideal characteristic for a root sealer material, dentistry sealability material depends on its solubility. Purpose: This study tested solubility six different sealers: two ZnOE-based (Endomethasone C and Argoseal), calcium hydroxide-containing (Bioseal Normal Acroseal), resin-based (AH Plus MM Seal). Methods: Ten specimens each were prepared using stainless steel ring molds with same internal diameter height order to obtain similar samples, immersed water. Solubility was determined by sample weight loss (%) after 24 hours 2 months. The test performed according International Standards Organization 6876 standard American Dental Association specifications No. 30 57. Data statistically analyzed one-way analysis variance (ANOVA). Results: ANOVA showed significant differences between various groups. post-hoc that had significantly lower percentages than other groups (p 0.05). Conclusions: All materials fulfilled requirements Standard ANSI/ADA demonstrating less 3%. Under conditions present study, all low solubility, but lowest recorded sealers, which can be considered virtually insoluble, thanks this physical property, use as endodontic sealer.
