摘要: Adherence of oral bacteria to the surface dental restorative materials is considered an important step in development secondary caries and periodontal disease. The aim this study was investigate compare adherence different Streptococcus mutans strain (CCUG35176) order ascertain possible differences. tested ranged across classes including: flowable composites (Gradia Direct LoFlo; Filtek Supreme XT Flowable), anterior Anterior), universal (Filtek XT), packable Silorane; P60), glass-ionomers (Fuji IX Gp Extra; Equia) a control reference material (Thermanox plastic coverlips). Bacterial suspension deposited onto each adhesion evaluated trough colony forming units (CFUs) determination. Packable silorane-based composite found be less adhesive than posterior P60, glass ionomers. fluoride ionomers did not prevent attachment S. mutans; furthermore, after roughness analysis SEM investigations, hypothesis that difference bacterial can determined by particular chemistry itself as well electrostatic forces between surfaces must given serious consideration.
