摘要: The objectives of this study were to 1) identify current and future vehicle characteristics that are potentially incompatible with existing roadside safety hardware, 2) assess opportunities for barriers improved compatibility, 3) increase the hardware manufacturer's awareness compatibility problems. This report presents results in five chapters. Chapter 1 provides an introduction. In 2, real world crash data case studies from National Automotive Sampling System/Crashworthiness Data System Fatality Analysis Reporting databases examined. 3, registrations presented changes fleet over past ten years.
