摘要: Understanding the role of noise at cellular and higher hierarchical levels depends on our knowledge physical mechanisms its generation. Conversely, is a rich source information about these mechanisms. Using channel-forming protein molecules reconstituted into artificial 5-nm-thick insulating lipid films, it possible to investigate in single-molecule experiments relate origins function. Recent progress this field reviewed with an emphasis how experimental technique can be used study low-frequency dynamics, including not only reversible ionization sites molecule, but also molecular 1/f-noise Several new applications analysis membrane transport problem are addressed. Among those antibiotic translocation across bacterial walls. High-resolution recording ionic current through single channel, formed by general porin, OmpF, enables us resolve events translocation.
