摘要: Mixtures of cereals and legumes are used extensively for forage production. Maize (Zea mays) cowpea (Vigna sinensis) monocultures as well their mixture in three planting patterns (M1: alternate-row intercrop, M2: within-row M3: mixed intercrop) were to investigate on yield the effect intercropping maize quality. The experiment was carried out randomized complete block design with replications. results showed that systems had a significant dry weight, where matter increased by compared sole crops. It related higher consumption environmental resources, such photosynthetically active radiation soil moisture, intercropping. quality terms crude protein improved because more nitrogen availability its crop.
