摘要: In the extreme situation of subsistence farming where insecticides and other veterinary medicines are either unavailable or unaffordable, use plants in treatment wound myiasis livestock has been reported worldwide. However, exact effect these on myiatic wounds not established. This study was therefore undertaken to establish biological activity seven species which used traditionally claimed be effective myiasis. Plants that have a wide distribution southern Africa were selected. paper focuses antibacterial bacteria known among common contaminants wounds. It shown bacterial action produce compounds an odour serve as attractant myiasis-causing flies. The investigated using microdilution assay bioautography methods. All tested had inhibitory against test bacteria. Inhibiting reduces attractants flies wound. Thus, inhibiting will interfere with development could one mechanism through work.
