摘要: One of the few important empirical generalizations regarding herbaceous plant systems has been demonstration that species richness is related to standing crop with maximum occurring at moderate levels crop. This relationship normally demonstrated by comparing among vegetation types (i.e., different dominants). We undertook this study test whether richness-standing was evident a finer-grained level organization, within type level. Fifteen wetland sites were sampled in eastern Canada and determined each 224 0.25 m2 quadrats. Each site relatively homogeneous terms dominant present therefore categorized as single types. However, group, comprised wide range A second order polynomial regression indicated significant bitonic between among-vegetation scale, is, when all 15 combined. At within-vegetation level, however, no relationships observed (p>0.05). The results indicate model proposed Grime predictive power coarse-grained types, but does not survive transition Therefore, higher processes which structure patterns are same determine type.
