摘要: Concern has been expressed that European populations of gray wolves (Canis lupus) have extensively hybridized with domestic dogs (C. familiaris). We reviewed and analyzed surveys mitochondrial biparentally inherited genetic markers in wild wolf-like canids. Although dog-wolf hybrids observed the wild, significant introgression dog into wolf not yet occurred. Our investigation suggests hybridization may be an important conservation concern even small, endangered near human settlements. The behavioral physiological differences between sufficiently great such mating is unlikely hybrid offspring rarely survive to reproduce wild.
