摘要: Summary Purpose: Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is usually associated with automatisms. Hyperkinetic seizures are supposed to be unusual. Because we witnessed several patients TLE and ictal hyperkinetic symptoms, retrospectively assessed the number, clinical findings, seizure outcome in such who had undergone temporal resection. Methods: We reviewed medical history, video–electroencephalography (EEG) recording neuroimaging of adult underwent surgery for at Kork Epilepsy Center over last 20 years a minimum postoperative follow-up 12 months. Key Findings: Among 294 were resected exclusively region, identified 17 (6%) presented semiology as violent vocalization, complex movements proximal segments limbs, rotation trunk, pelvic thrusting, or early tonic dystonic posturing. Most preceding aura. Ictal EEG activity was located corresponding wide distribution electrodes fast spread unilateral frontal contralateral side. Neuroimaging revealed extended lesions involving mesial neocortical structures. classical anterior resection including amygdalo-hippocampectomy. Fourteen (82%) became completely seizure-free (Engel class Ia). Histopathology showed mainly focal cortical dysplasia plus hippocampal sclerosis. Significance: may occasionally occur is, therefore, no contradiction hypothesis if scalp patterns findings correspond. The favorable not different from data TLE.
