摘要: Abstract We developed free-air exposure regression-based models comprising annual growing season 4th highest daily maximum 8-h average ozone (O 3 ) concentration, degree days (GDD), and wind speed (WS). The include 95% confidence bands for determining uncertainty of prediction. are statistically significant, provide a high goodness fit, can be used within the ambient air context. Trembling aspen ( Populus tremuloides clones 216, 42E, 271, 259 responded negatively to O . Aspen clone 8L positively concentration ≤90 ppb. White birch Betula papyrifera performed much better as single index trembling white cross-sectional area growth than did W126, SUM06, AOT40, 1-h concentration. Growing is most closely associated with actual measured response in biological endpoint. W126 significantly overestimated negative cumulative GDD, WS-based model may an underutilized opportunity scientifically defensible risk analysis North American quality
